Who is Kenn J. Merchant?
Kenneth J. Merchant is a poet who resides in the state of Maine with his family. It is here that he has drawn a lot of his creative influence for all his poetry. He was born in Franklin, New Hampshire, and moved to Maine in his infancy; it is here he was born and raised ever since. Kenneth published his first poetry book, Pair A Dice and Dream Lands, in 2011. It currently is available through Amazon.com and the CreateSpace online store. He also maintains a daily poetry blog where most of his drafts and favorable works reside. Kenneth attended the New England School of Communications for journalism and video production. He attends the Southern New Hampshire University for creative writing and a focus in poetry.
He discovered his talent for creative writing when he attended a creative writing seminar at the Dexter Regional High School. Ever since then he has been pursuing the aspiration of becoming a world known poet. He typically writes poetry with the idea that any subject matter can create a spark of ingenuity. Occasionally he is seen typing on his laptop in a local coffee shop or at his home in Newport, Maine. While a lot of his poetry revolves around the genre of science fiction, he also has established that he can write under other genres as well. Kenneth writes poetry with the intention of developing a synchronous relationship with both his readers and establishing the theory that poetry is both a science and an art.
Kenneth J. Merchant currently works for an independent company, Ink & Quiver, as a fairy tale writer. He had prior jobs as a writer for the New England School of Communications newspaper, and as a chief editor for the Garland Baptist Church weekly newsletter.
